Herniated Disc Treatment.
My Herniated Disc Treatment Experience!
I have felt your pain, at the age of 22 I suffered a herniated disc at L4/L5. And It made my life hell. Even worse was that the Herniated Disc Treatment that I went through did not really make any difference.
But I can reassure you that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Eventually I found a Herniated Disc Treatment that worked and I soon recovered the confidence to return to my passion, playing hockey.
You Can Access the exercises I used over here ==== ==>>>>>>
Not only did I return, but I am still playing today at age 47, and last year represented Australia in an over 45′s tournament in Hong Kong!
Along the way I have not always remained pain free. There have been many occasions when may lower back pain has returned. But the one constant that I can draw from all of those instances, is that my focus on the Herniated Disc Treatment that has worked so well for me, has lessened.
And the end result has been pain and discomfort. It never takes me long to get that focus back again.
So what did I actually go through.
Well I had lots of Chiropractic work done. This would give some temporary relief, but the pain always came back.
Then I saw a neurosurgeon, and that was scary, as he talked about removing the disc and fusing my spine together.
In the end the solution to my problem came from a physiotherapist. He observed that I had a muscle imbalance predominantly caused by very tight hamstrings. He explained that these muscles are quite powerful and if tight have a tendency to pull on the lower back, and can inhibit the bodies ability to recover from a disc herniation.
The end result was to implement a Herniated Disc Treatment that addressed the underlying cause of the problem, being the muscle imbalance.
This was not that complicated and largely revolved around a set of stretches aimed at relieving the stress on my lower back that was being created by the tightness of the big muscle groups in my legs, “Hamstrings” and “Gluteus Maximus” (butt muscles). We also worked on freeing up the mobility of my lower back, and strength of my abdominals.
You can start that process today with a well structured set of stretching exercises specifically designed to relieve lower back pain and help remove some of the underlying causes of your back pain. I have put together a guide on the exact stretches that I still use today as a part of my Herniated Disc Treatment. You can access those from here.
As far as the appropriate treatment for your herniated disc, I suggest you look at the option of surgery only as a last resort. Go back to basics, consult with your doctor and look to resolve the underlying cause of the problem, regular stretching is a good place to start. You might just find that by doing this that over time your injury will repair itself.
Here is another free resource that you may find useful, “The 7 Day Back Pain Cure“. I am not so sure about the 7 day part of it, after all the book is over 200 hundred pages! I am sure you will find it very helpful in providing some positive ways that you can go about your Herniated Disc Treatment.
Good luck and please come back and let me know how you are progressing.
